You ever obsess about the decor you see on a TV show?

A couple of weeks ago I was watching an episode of The Last O.G. I've always admired the character Shay's home (Shay is played by Tiffany Haddish). Her living room is absolutely gorgeous and I want everything in there, but what I love the most are those gray/blue curtains.  There is a cozy relaxed vibe in that room and those curtains are just lovely.  They appear to have a light gray background with a blue pattern, perhaps floral? and do I see some yellow in there too?  Hard to tell from this crappy screenshot. I've made it my mission to find out who makes them because let's face it, I got nothing better to do at the moment.  If I do find any information, I will post it here!

Now, this is not the first time I've fallen in love with something I saw on TV.  Back in the 90s, on the TV show Mad About You, I had fallen in love with that small loveseat that they had in their unbelievable New York apartment.  I especially loved the plaid on the back and sides of it. It looked so comfy and inviting and it was so unusual looking (unusual by 90s standards) that I was really drawn to it.  At the time I adored it and wanted one for my home very badly, but now I see it and think Meh, what was the big deal, why was I so obsessed?

Same story re Paul and Jaime's kitchen.  It was a soft white/beige color, with glass front cabinetry and beige and gray tiled floor.   It sort of had a bit of a retro feel to it and it looked so elegant by 90s standards.  Looking at it now, I'm not quite as wowed by it. You can tell the age of this by the countertops...no marble or granite in sight and no subway tile backsplash!  It is a very 90s style kitchen, but back then I wanted a kitchen exactly like that!

When the show Friends aired, I wanted everything in Monica Geller's apartment, except perhaps the open shelving in the kitchen.  Monica was a clean freak and I'm just surprised that the clutter of the shelving didn't bother her because it made me a little crazy!  It's a little too cluttered for me but at least it's neat and orderly.  The size of her place was ridiculous for a New York apartment though.  I still loved the place, even though it's not real. The blue color on the cabinets and shelving is beautiful and colored cabinets are definitely in vogue at the moment. Monica's kitchen does have a touch of grandma chic to it with the china displays and the floral curtains above and below the sink.

In the living room, I absolutely adored the purple walls in the living room.  I've always lived with guys, and purple walls would never fly with them, but there were times I wanted to go all-out girly in my home with floral curtains and feminine touches, but sadly I was never really able to except when I was living on my own.

.

I think my favorite thing about this room is its size.  For an apartment it's enormous!!  Also, who has windows that large in a 2 bedroom apartment in New York City??

In the 70s, when I was growing up I wanted to live in the Brady house...and I kinda still do!  many of the elements of the home are still popular today, such as that groovy yellow chair with the tufted buttons on the back.

The living room was where the family gathered for important meetings or to watch Peter and Cindy put on a magic show!

My absolute favorite room in the whole house has to be the kitchen!  I love those avocado chairs and the bright orange wall and countertops!  I don't think this looks dated at all, its more retro-modern, and I would love to have this kitchen!

Another show where I was obsessed with the interior was The Mary Tyler Moor Show.  I adored her living room with the sunken floor.  That little wicker chair by the window was a cozy little reading nook that looked so inviting. My absolute favorite element has to be the large M on her wall.  I swore that when I got my own place, I would do the same, and I did! (see the upper left corner above the door?)

Well that's my list, I'm sure there a loads more I could have put on here, but I'm curious, what is your favorite Television sets and furniture?
